Google officially introduces Nest into the fold. The smart home appliance maker, which was both a separate company under Alphabet and a part of Google, is now receiving renamed Google Nest, the company announced during its Google I / O 2019 speech.

Nest to become Google's home product brand: last year's Home Hub will be renamed as Google's Nest Hub, alongside a larger, newly announced product, Nest Hub Max, which Google has just unveiled on the scene.

Google also showcased some of its other smart home products that will live under the Nest brand, including Google Home and Google Home Mini, Google Wifi, Chromecast and, of course, existing products from Nest's smart home (although # It's unclear Google products will also get Nest names).

Making the house a "useful home" is Google's big help. The company is committed to fundamental principles such as ease of use, personal data, interconnectivity and confidentiality for its recently renamed efforts, meaning has not been discussed on stage.
