Developers have shown a general disinterest in creating apps for Wear OS, but you would expect Google to make at least an effort. Well, the Nest division is abandoning any pretense of worrying about clothes. The Wear OS (and Apple Watch) components are dead in the latest version of the Nest app.

Nest's Wear OS module previously allowed you to change thermostat settings, toggle between home and home, and more. However, it lacked integration with most new Nest products. The changelog says nothing about removing portable features, but the Watch app does not even load if you try to open it. Instead, you receive a notification that the smartwatch feature has disappeared and you must uninstall the application.

This development does not bode well for Wear OS, but it could be worse. Nest killed the Apple Watch app at the same time, and this device is undeniably much more successful than Google's portable platform. So, Nest does not target wear in particular. You can still control Nest devices from the watch with the help of the wizard, and voice commands offer more features than the Wear OS app.
