Netflix reportedly lost a lot of money to acquire two sequels to Rain Johnson’s 2019 Oscar-nominated mystery film “Knives Out.”
The next cases of Detective Benoit Blanc will therefore fall exclusively on Netflix, although there is no word yet on the nature of these cases or if other characters will reprise their roles in the sequels.
Netflix declined to say how much it was paying for the movies, which Johnson will direct with the return of Daniel Craig as Inspector White. However, according to Deadline, the price is approaching $ 450 million, which would make it one of the biggest acquisitions Netflix has ever made.
