Netflix commissions an animated series of Zack Snyder about Nordic mythology

Netflix has commissioned a new animated series based on Nordic mythology from Justice League Director Zack Snyder. Snyder is creating it alongside Jay Oliva, who will act as a showrunner and director. Oliva has worked as a screenwriter on several large-scale cartoon films, including Deadpool, Wonder Woman and Thor: Ragnarok. He and Snyder have already collaborated on Justice League, Batman v Superman, 300 and Man of Steel.

In addition to the new series, Snyder and Oliva are currently working on separate projects for Netflix. Snyder writes, directs, and produces a zombie thriller for the streaming service, called Army of the Dead, while Oliva directs and produces Trese, an animated series based on the Filipino comic of the same name.
