Netflix loses two popular Nintendo shows

It looks like a pair of cartoons depicting Nintendo’s Super Mario family are no longer available on Netflix: The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super mario world. Loosely based on the beloved NES and SNES games, both shows follow the exploits of Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Princess Toadstool as they face off against King Koopa and the Koopalings. The timing is unfortunate for those looking to enjoy some pre-Mario Day festivities, but fans will be happy to know. The super show of Super Mario Bros. remains available on the service at the time of writing.

Some outlets have falsely claimed that The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super mario world will be removed on March 31, but both shows appear to have disappeared from Netflix at the time of writing. March 31st is also the same day that some games will no longer be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Nintendo marked this date as the last chance for gamers to purchase the digital version of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and the last day when Super Mario Bros. 35 will be available. However, these games have always been meant to be limited-time releases and there doesn’t appear to be any real connection between the removals.

The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super mario world are often grouped with The super show of Super Mario Bros., but there are a number of differences between them. Especially, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super mario world mainly featured new voices, and dropped out of the live-action segments related to the Great show. Both cartoons also introduced new elements based on their respective games, while Great show was loosely based on Super Mario Bros. 2.

While this news is undoubtedly disappointing for some Netflix users, Paramount + subscribers will be happy to know that both cartoons are currently available on this service! This should inspire Nintendo fans to check out Paramount +. The streaming service also Console wars, a documentary detailing the conflict between Nintendo and Sega throughout the 90s. As such, Paramount + subscribers have several options for enjoying the goodness of Nintendo of the 90s!
