In Black Widow, the red guardian talks about wanting to show off with Captain America. Well, he’s going to have his chance … sort. David Harbor (Red Guardian in Black Widow) and Anthony Mackie (Captain america in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) are about to star in a new Netflix movie that has nothing to do with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, called We have a ghost.

They will be joined by Tig Notoro (Army of the dead), Jennifer Coolidge (American pie), and Jahi Di’Allo Winston (The dead don’t die) in the supernatural adventure. Christophe Landon (Happy day of the dead, weird) will direct and write the screenplay based on the short story Ernest, by Geoff Manaugh. This story is about a family who move into a new house that is already inhabited by a ghost named Ernest. The discovery makes them instantly famous, but things start to change when Ernest and the family begin to investigate how he died. (The Description of the IMDB adds that the ghost is called Ernest because he looks like the great deceased actor Ernest Borgnine). According to tI have Hollywood Reportr, a few other cast members are also already a board: Erica Ash (uncle drew), Isabelle Russo (Crash), Niles Fitch (It’s us), Faith Ford (Brown murphy), and Steve Coulter (The living dead, watchmen.)

The idea has a kind of Beetlejuice / Ghost kind of atmosphere, and with this cast and Landon’s skillful touch with stories that are lively and fun, the set sounds like a winner. Plus, you know Marvel fans all want to have Harbor and Mackie on set together, swap war stories, and maybe even respond to Kevin Feige’s tweet from last night asking them if they wanted to meet in the Marvel movies. It will happen, that’s for sure, but we’ll probably see We have a ghost first. One would imagine that it will appear on Netflix next year.
