Although it is not his project which holds all the attention, By Zack Snyder Army of the dead is still coming to Netflix this year. In fact, thanks to Snyder’s Twitter account, we now know exactly when that happens: May 21, when fans can start asking Netflix to dump millions upon millions of dollars into a longer / better version of Army of the dead. In addition to announcing the release date, Snyder’s tweet included a new poster for the film that shows a bunch of zombie hands being crushed by a large safe door (ouch!) While the dollar bills and the playing cards fly through the air. Also, as indicated by one of the comments on Twitter, he says his name on this poster four times. Including the title of the film and Netflix as names, that’s 50% of the names!

Army of the dead is about a group of soldiers trying to rob a casino during a zombie outbreak (terrible time for that), and it stars Dave Bautista, Tig Notaro, Ella Purnell, and a group of other people who will likely be munched on by zombies. Also, in an intriguing tease, Varietywriting says Nora Arnezeder is playing “Lily (The Coyote)” even though none of the other actors have any animal names listed. Does she play a coyote named Lily? Is she some kind of badass called The Coyote? Either way, here we are. Snyder should put someone Justice League named The Coyote!

In addition to Army of the dead, Netflix has a prequel movie and an animated TV series in the works.
