Amsterdam police arrested a 16-year-old boy who had stolen several museum pieces. At the suspect's home, the police found several underrated works, worth more than 150,000 euros. It is not known in which museum the pieces disappeared
According to the police, the boy was fascinated by art and archeology at a young age. He wanted to see the antiques up close and seems to have taken several pieces with him during several trips to the museum. In the parental home, the police found missing figurines, books and a parchment roll.

The case was revealed when the young art lover painted the image of one of the stolen statuettes dating from the sixth to the fourth century . Christ, showed to a collector of art. He knew almost immediately that this statue belonged to an Amsterdam museum and not to the boy's collection.
The art collector contacted the museum: it was found that a statue was missing. Police opened an investigation and the trail led the 16-year-old boy. Yesterday, he was arrested.
The found objects of the collection are returned to the museum concerned.
