50 dead and 50 missing in the storm Japan

Extreme storms in southwestern Japan killed about 50 people. Fifty people are also missing.

Since Thursday it rains in the Asian country and according to the weather forecast, it is still raining. It is certain that 1.6 million people had to be evacuated for fear of floods and landslides. The emergency response service advised 3.1 million people to leave the area.

Approximately 48,000 emergency services were deployed to assist in the search for missing persons. At least 500 houses were damaged by heavy rains and some 40 people were injured. In Motoyama, a town on the island of Shikoku, 583 millimeters of rain fell in 24 hours.
