Fear was good this week at the University of Heerenveen. The Abe Lenstra Stadium and the surrounding buildings had to be closed for a few hours due to a bomb threat.
During the afternoon, however, it turned out to be a false alarm. The director Luuc Eisenga states that the club has been a victim of "someone with little humor and low IQ". However, Eisenga believes that the club and the authorities have acted correctly. "I think we took it rightly seriously," said the director at Algemeen Dagblad . "We defend the safety of our employees and visitors, and we did not want to take any chances."
The pattern of the aggressor is not yet clear. The local police do not rule out that the bommelder has something against Heerenveen. "But it can also involve confused people who can no longer distinguish fiction from reality," says spokesman Paul Heidanus
