According to the local government, the fire was extinguished at 11.30 local time on Friday morning. All the injured were transported to the hospital in a stable state. The Chinese government has begun an investigation into the cause of the blast.
Last year, China took steps to improve industrial safety after several major incidents in recent years. In 2015, 165 people were killed in an explosion at a chemical warehouse in Tianjin port.
