Stichting Brein opens an attack against illegal uploaders

A new attack offensive should facilitate the identification of illegal uploaders

The download of torrents with illegal content is still relatively anonymous in the Netherlands. ISPs provide the best protection for customer data and do not simply leave data to organizations such as Stichting Brein.

Downloading is usually more heavily loaded than downloading. After all, downloaders keep things up-to-date and without uploaders there are no downloaders. The Dutch guardian of copyright content has been hunting illegal users for years and will expand the business. Brein has more power on the basis of the new law on privacy (AVG). According to Tim Kuik of Stichting Brein against Tweakers, the organization can use new detection software to locate hackers.

Very active downloaders can look forward to Brein's attention. For now, the focus is on parties that sway a lot of copyrighted content on the web. Despite the detection software, Brein can not play for his own court. A lawsuit will always be used regularly to impose a penalty on a user who uploads a video.
