The former actor Robert Wolders is dead.
The born Rotterdammer, who made his career in America, is best known as the last life companion of actress Audrey Hepburn.
Wolders died Thursday at the age of 81, reports The Hollywood Reporter based on the Audrey Hepburn Fund. The family does not want to lose details about his death. Wolders has been a member of the fund's board of directors.
As an actor, Wolders played roles such as Flipper, Laredo, The Man of U.N.C.L.E., Bewitched and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. After marrying actress Merle Oberon in 1975, Wolders stopped acting. After his death, he was with Audrey Hepburn for more than thirteen years, who died in 1993. He later had relations with Leslie Caron and Henry Fonda's widow Shirlee
