Dice, the developer of Battlefield V, announced that the new shooter would receive an open beta at the beginning of September, to which everyone could probably join. The closed alpha is now complete.

Dice did not give any other information about the open beta period; for example, it is not yet known what people can play and for how long. Dice has not yet released a specific date on the beginning of the open beta. During the closed alpha, a selected group had access to the Arctic Fjord multiplayer map, a snow-covered area located in Norway. During the open beta of the predecessor Battlefield 1, a map and two different game modes were available

The developer says that he learned a lot of reactions from the players who participated in the Alpha closed. Dice reports that based on the comments, it will implement a number of improvements that should improve both the technical side and the actual gameplay. For example, the developer says that it will improve the stability of clients and game servers and will ensure that teams do not disintegrate between different matches.

Battlefield V is the successor to Battlefield 1 and takes place during the Second World War. The shooter was announced at the end of May, will end on October 19th and will not receive a bonus or paid dlc; all new content is available for free. Tweakers made a taste of Battlefield V at the E3 Fair
