Apple adds superheroes and more hair styles to emojis NOW

The new emojis should appear later this year as part of a free update for iOS, watchOS and macOS. Apple announced this Monday. They will probably be added to iOS 12.

The images have already been approved in Unicode 11.0, the new standard for emoji. Faces can be adjusted with different hair styles, such as curls and red hair. A bald head is also possible. In addition, images of generic superheroes are available.

New types of faces are also present, such as a frozen face, a party head and a face that lies beneath the hearts. The animals are also added as a kangaroo, a parrot and a lobster.

It's unclear exactly when emojis make their appearance in iOS. Earlier this year, Apple submitted a proposal for thirteen new emojis with a disability. These included images of a doll in a wheelchair. We do not know if these emojis will come.
