That's a problem. The Russians deny any involvement in the disaster since the beginning. They believe that the evidence of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) is based on manipulated images of social media. In the JIT, dozens of detectives and prosecutors from five countries work together: the Netherlands, Belgium, Ukraine, Australia and Malaysia.

The Netherlands and other ECE countries receive support from many other countries. the countries. And is there already a perspective of trial?

The short answer is no. Because no suspects have yet been identified and the chances of a successful criminal trial are currently considered minimal.

Nevertheless, many preparations are underway. The CEE countries have agreed that the MH17 process will be held in The Netherlands at the District Court in The Hague. This will then be redirected to the Schiphol complex complex, as it is more suitable for a large international process.

In addition, it was agreed with Ukraine that suspects can be heard via a video link. All convicts can serve their sentence in Ukraine.

But the big problem is Russia. This will never allow extradition of residents. The JIT knows the names of the soldiers who would be involved, but they will not be announced until the investigation is completed.
