Cerro Gordo, Spanish for a thick hill, is located in the mountains of California. The name was born in the 19th century when Mexicans sought money in this region. At that time, California's largest silver mine was here. People were leaving by car and there was a regular murder. Now there are 22 empty buildings. Only the former owner still lives there. He gives guided tours.
Restoration of the Ghost Town
The new owners will restore the abandoned houses. The hotel will open again and there will be a point of view. The barracks where the miners slept became a music studio. The city is then used for weekends, festivals, photo shoots and as a place where writers can work quietly.
