Police unions find 7% more salary

Police unions estimate that the wage offer of 7% salary increase until 2020 included by the Minister Ferdinand Grapperhaus is not good enough. And that's why agents continue to campaign

. On Twitter, the unions, under the leadership of the ACP union, announce that they do not consider the employer's candidacy to be sufficient. Tomorrow, a new action will be taken immediately, during the visit of Minister Ferd Grapperhaus to a police training center in Zeeland.

In addition to the 7% pay increase, the offer made by Minister Grapperhaus and Commissioner Erik Akerboom consisted of a single payment of 500 euros in 2019 and one more great influence of agents on their own schedule.

No fine

Police and unions negotiate a new collective labor agreement, which must apply to 65,000 police officers. In recent times, negotiations have stopped and agents have taken action, inter alia, by not issuing fines.

According to the unions, it is "much more than a good wage offer". They highlight, among other things, the shortage of staff and the excessive work pressure. The NPB says that police colleagues are fed up and will not rest until the minister realizes the seriousness of their situation.

Presenter Peter van Zadelhof investigated earlier whether angry agents had a point or not:
