Trains suffer from "special material defects" due to heat, says Arriva.

From the beginning of the schedule, fewer trains leave from Groningen station in all directions. Rail traffic remains limited in all directions. For Weener, the replacement of bus transport is offered from Winschoten.

From 9:00 am, there are no trains between Groningen and Veendam. Alternative bus transportation is used between Zuidbroek and Veendam

Express trains between Leeuwarden and Groningen do not depart from 09:00. Travelers can use local trains
