See how last Monday a KLM Boeing 747-400 collided with a flatbed vehicle at Schiphol.

One of the four engines of the jumbo jet was badly damaged by the collision, the NH News newspaper reported on Monday. The jumbo was towed to a so-called buffer zone, a place where planes are parked longer

There were no passengers or crew members in the plane at the time of the collision. Monday, we did not know how long the plane could not fly.

The coming years will be removed one by one from the 747. By 2021, the last jumbo jet should have be replaced by a more modern aircraft, such as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
