Kickboxer Rico Verhoeven will star in a great action movie. The Dutchman will be presented next year in The Black Lotus, an English-language film that he co-produces as well. Verhoeven is currently in Los Angeles for conversations with potential project directors and screenwriters.
The kickboxing world champion plays in the film an old soldier who must go on a mission again to save a woman. According to Verhoeven, The Black Lotus will look like action classics such as Man on Fire and Taken
"I find it very exciting to play in an international action film," says Verhoeven. "It's a new challenging adventure for me, I'm lucky enough to have a dream of where to go, as in my fights, I'll be optimally prepared and get the best out of myself, for all my fans from around the world. "
The Dutchman played a small role in the Bluf series in Vechtershart and De Speelfilm by Dylan Haegens.
