Super Smash Bros. The ultimate director, Masahiro Sakurai, has confirmed that the five DLC characters that have yet to be announced have already been chosen.
Sakurai tweeted this information stating that the characters had been chosen by Nintendo in consultation with him. After being overwhelmed by fan recommendations, Sakurai wrote, "It's great to dream that your favorite character is there, but we're currently inundated with recommendations and we're not asking too much about deviating."
Super Smash Bros. The Ultimate DLC range is now complete. This time, the selection was made entirely by Nintendo. I decide if we can create a fighter based on his selection and then develop the plan.

After the launch, five DLC characters will be released, each with their own scene and their own song. The characters under development have not yet been revealed, even though it is now recognized that Nintendo knows exactly who they are. Each set of fighters will cost US $ 6 to players, or US $ 25 together as part of the fighters' pass. All the contents of this pass must be made public by the end of February 2020.
In the last Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Direct last week, Sakurai not only announced that Ken and Incineroar would be added, but later, it also revealed that Piranha Plant would be available as a DLC character after its launch, for anyone who would buy the game in form digital pre-order.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate arrives on the Nintendo Switch on December 7, 2018.
