The Belgian-Dutch film Girl was nominated among 51 films as Best European Film at the Seville European Film Festival. The director and screenwriter Lukas Dhont's first film, Lara (Victor Polster), aged about 15, was nominated for Best Actor. Her body does not work alone because she was born a child.
Girl was created in Cannes on May 12 and has already won several awards.
Of the 51 films selected from the 31 selected, we will include the film more than 3,000 members of the European Film Academy in the coming weeks in the categories best European film, best director, best actor, best actress and best screenwriter
A jury selects nominations in the categories Best European Cinematography, Editing, Production Design, Costume Design, Hair and Make-up, Music and Sound Design. The European prizes will be awarded on December 15th.
