Ziggo Sport has been broadcasting Formula 1 since 2013. The sender, at the time still Sport1, had also appealed to the commentator of the F1, Olav Mol, who had made a report again in 2014. After being the only man there for a few seasons, Mol was joined in 2016 by a cameraman and pit reporter, Jack Plooij, with whom Ziggo Sport's on-site activities were expanded. This is in addition to a number of programs that the station produces from the Hilversum Studios. The acquisition of the Formula 1 broadcast rights proved to be a golden success with the rise of Max Verstappen. In the meantime, each race has about one million people who vote for the Grands Prix. Last Sunday, 1.1 million people watched the Brazilian Grand Prix, where Verstappen finished second.
