Aviodome is becoming Amsterdome | inside

The reason for the lawsuit was a conflict between the TeKa group (which is in the process of rebuilding itself) and Libéma (Aviodome Aviation Museum operator) about the use of the Aviodome name.

The iconic dome was rebuilt along the A5 with the original materials. According to the TeKa group, Amsterdome will host venues, conferences and other events. The geodesic dome, with twenty hexagons and twelve pentagons, looks very much like a football. But then a very big one: it is 24 meters high and has a range of 60 meters.

It was designed by the American Richard Buckminster Fuller (1895-1983). The new location of the event is a geodesic dome and will be officially opened this month.
