Dell reports a data breach. Intruders may have got names, email addresses, and hashed passwords. According to the manufacturer of the computer, however, there is no conclusive evidence in this regard.
According to Dell, the leak was discovered on November 9 and immediately closed. In another page on the incident, Dell states that there is "no indication" that any credit card data or other "sensitive customer data" was at the view of intruders.
Users who may have been affected by the leak will face mandatory password reset by the company. Dell also makes no representation regarding the degree of encryption of passwords.
In addition, the American company claims to have immediately opened an investigation. A digital forensic digital office was used for this purpose from the outside. The authorities were also informed of the incident.
