This is stated in a statement by the newspaper's editors. Nourhussen thinks the negative reactions are too self-centered and ignores the content of his columns.
Trouw says that Nourhussen's decision was regretted. The columnist herself says that she will later explain her decision: "I'll come back for background information, information, etc."
