Police investigate a mail containing an unknown irritant, which was found Thursday afternoon by a courier in Stein, Limburg. The post gave a burning sensation, according to firefighters.
The incident occurred shortly after 1 pm on the Negenmorgenstraat, in the village of Limburg.
The postman called after the incident at the house where the shipment was to be delivered, after which the resident and the postman called the 112. The letter was left outside the the House. Both people have been disinfected and are taken care of at the town hall. "They feel good," said a spokesman for the fire department.
Relief was removed with several vehicles and the police closed the area to work safely.
