Microsoft has extended the parental control settings of the Xbox One to a number of new features. For example, parents can now easily tell if a child can use the cross-game features of a game.

Fortnite is the first game to be connected to the new cross-game settings of the Xbox One, says Microsoft . Parents can define whether games can be played through their child's account or allowed to be shared with players on platforms outside of Xbox Live. The options are in the parent's Microsoft account and will later be added to other cross-games.

Parents now have 15 tools through their Microsoft account to manage their child's account. They are divided into four categories: privacy, screen time, content filters and purchase restrictions. One of the elements of parental control is a report of activity that children can also consult to better understand their own play habits. Children can also ask their parents to extend the screen duration. or ask for permission to buy an app or visit certain websites.
