A hurricane of the fourth category is heading for Mexico. The storm, called Willa, is expected to land on Tuesday afternoon. Willa is now more than 300 kilometers from the coast.
Floods
The hurricane is most likely to arrive in central Mexico. Willa can cross popular tourist areas. The US National Hurricane Center (NHC) warns Willa. In addition to the potentially devastating and life threatening wind – wind speeds up to 210 km are measured – it can also rain up to 380 millimeters of rain on coastal sites. The rain could again cause floods or mudslides, reports Express.
The Willa is not the only Pacific storm. Tropical Storm Vincent also travels to Mexico and can provide additional rainfall. Express expects Willa and Vincent to become one later
According to the news website, it is the most active hurricane season of all the temperature. This year, it has passed 22 storms with name, of which 12 have become a hurricane. Nine have become a violent hurricane of at least the third category.
