AMSTERDAM (AFN / BLOOMBERG) – Apple continues to work with TomTom on navigation charts. On Friday the TomTom course was put under pressure after a TechCrunch site message that Apple will renew its navigation app. For this, the technology company wants to create its own card data and the long cooperation between Apple and TomTom could be under pressure.
However, Apple said that TomTom would still be a data provider for cards. The two companies have entered into a cooperation agreement since 2012. Dutch AND International Publishers is also a data provider for Apple.
Investors have not been reassured by Apple's comments. TomTom's price dropped 2.7% shortly after opening at 7.54 euros. On Friday, the share was down 1.7%. AND delivered over 8 percent Monday morning
