Once the battery is replaced, the MacBook should be placed in a special Apple machine that applies some pressure and applies a new glue. For this, Apple uses the same strips of glue as those present on the iPhone.

Although this tool is not accessible to all, Kyle Wiens, the director general of iFixit, sees a big step forward. "The old batteries were a challenge for consumers, recycling and Apple's staff.It is an important turning point."
In addition to the battery, the new Air's trackpad can be replaced in this way and the Touch ID button can also be replaced.
