Ajax threatens to lose David Neres to AS Roma after Justin Kluivert. At least, this is reported in Italy. The top club Roman would be interested
The Italian La Gazzetta dello Sport reported Wednesday that Roma thinks of Neres as a new right winger. The Brazilian from Ajax is an alternative for Malcom, who has chosen a dream transfer to FC Barcelona at the last minute. The director of Ajax, Marc Overmars, would have given a brief response to LaRoma24: "We do not intend to sell it."
Neres would fit in the image of Roma but is certainly not the only candidate. Suso (AC Milan), Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo), Leon Bailey (Bayer Leverkusen), Florian Thauvin (Olympique Marseille) and Mikel Oyarzabal (Real Sociedad) are also on the wish list according to La Gazzetta. The transfer value of Neres is estimated at forty million euros
The foreign interest in Neres is not new. Borussia Dortmund was already concrete this summer for the 21-year-old striker, but was eliminated on the list after an offer of 30 million euros. Neres was not amused about it. The thirty million did not get close to the asking price "by far", according to Voetbal International last week.
