Criticism of the new Diablo Immortal smartphone game "hurts," according to Blizzard founder Allen Adham.
Adham tells us in an interview with NU.nl.
The Blizzard Games Studio presents its new mobile game Immortal Diablo at its annual Blizzcon Conference. This revelation, however, aroused much public criticism, as players had been hoping for many years to create new PC games in the Diablo series.
"Is this a badly scheduled joke from April 1st?", Asked a fan during a question and answer session in the room. A user of the Reddit discussion board calls "disrespectful" the fact that the new game Diablo is a mobile game.
"We knew in itself that there would be mixed reactions," says Adham. "But we did not think it would be so bad, but it really hurt when there was a tumult."
Criticism of Diablo Immortal had an impact online. The discussion forums are full of indignant messages from angry gamers because their favorite game series has no follow-up for the PC or game consoles. The game trailer on YouTube has been bombarded with thumbs down, allowing users to share their discontent.
"We listen to all critics"
"I'm really worried if our fans do not react at all," Adham said. "The players are trying to get us a message, and we've heard them clearly."
Adham points out that Diablo Immortal is not the only new game in the series. "We are still working on several Diablo projects that will appear in the future, and we have not forgotten our PC fans."
"Diablo Immortal is not a kloongame"
Diablo Immortal becomes with the Asian studio Netease. Fans discovered shortly after the announcement that the game had almost the same appearance as a previous game from the same developer.
However, Volges Adham is not a true copy. "The game's interface is similar to that of the predecessor, but this interface uses almost all games now."
