Bourgeois and co in the Netherlands for the fourth Flemish-Dutch summit – Belgium

The Flemish Prime Minister Geert Bourgeois (N-VA) and the Flemish Ministers Ben Weyts Sven Gatz and Hilde Crevits bags on Monday at the Abbey of Middelburg, in the Dutch province of Zeeland.

They meet there among others the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and a part of his ministers and secretaries of state, on the occasion of the fourth summit of the Dutch-Flemish government. It is organized to promote cross-border cooperation between the Netherlands and Flanders.

This year, the meeting is dominated by infrastructure and climate, reports the bourgeois Cabinet. The various ministers and secretaries of state will meet in bilateral meetings, after which the presidents will sign a number of statements of intent.

Representatives of Flemish and Dutch universities, companies and civil society organizations also meet at the summit in Zeeland.

The presiding ministers of Flanders and the Netherlands meet every two years at a summit. The last time was in Ghent in 2016.
