Facebook gets a fine from the custodian of British privacy because of the Cambridge Analytica case. This is the maximum fine that can be distributed: 500,000 pounds (about 565,000 euros).
The British watchdog thinks that Facebook has not sufficiently protected users' data. In addition, the technology company is not transparent enough about data shared with other companies.

Cambridge Analytica used an application on Facebook to collect data. According to the British watchdog, the company has captured 87 million profiles via 320,000 users. Most of them came from Americans and Brits.
