In Cambodia, polling stations were opened for legislative elections. Twenty parties are involved, but it is almost certain that Prime Minister Hun Sen's party will be the winner.
The only opposition party that could have offered serious opposition to the Prime Minister's People's Party was last year by the highest court and therefore can not participate in the elections. Former opposition leaders called on the people to boycott the elections.

Their Sen has been in power for 33 years and shows more and more dictatorial traits. Three weeks ago, the government criminalized the spread of false news, which critics consider as a cover for the reduction of the press and the opposition.
The free press is under increasing pressure in Cambodia in recent years. One after the other media company is killed. Thirty radio stations were closed by the government last year because they had violated their contracts with the government.
