Cameraman Stan Storimans, who died ten years ago during a rocket attack, is posthumously honored in Georgia. He has received the Order of Honor for his courage and selflessness.

Ambassador Konstantine Surguladze presented the award to children Amber and Tim Tuesday in The Hague, Storiman.

Storimans was killed by a burst of shrapnel in the Georgian town of Gori during a Russian rocket attack on August 12, 2008.

Akkermans stood a few feet from the cameraman when the rocket was wounded and injured. Akkermans has been fighting for a conviction ever since. Russia still denies any responsibility.
