A new version of Google Chrome will appear next month to alert users of unclear subscription services. According to Google, millions of Chrome users are confronted each month with pages that try to close a subscription in an unclear way. In this case, users only need to enter a mobile phone number to subscribe.
Users often do not know that it's a subscription or associated costs, until you receive the phone bill. Google wants users to know when a subscription is offered and how much it will cost per month. The internet giant therefore wants subscriber services to better inform users and clearly indicate costs.
When Chrome will soon detect pages containing missing information, users will receive a warning telling them that they can charge for money. The measure is implemented in the desktop and mobile versions of Chrome 71, scheduled for December. Google will notify webmasters via the search console if such obscure subscription pages are found on their websites.
