Construction Spuiforum 31 million euros more expensive, but the conflict resolved

[ad_1]

For months, there is a dark cloud over the construction of the educational and cultural complex. The builder and the municipality do not agree on the additional costs of at least 8 million euros. Because the parties did not succeed, the construction of the Spuiforum was halted for a long time

– it was: attacking or confusing & # 39;

But this conflict was resolved with the arrival of the new college in early June. Then all the disputes with Cadanz and the challenges of the project were put in order. "The question was: approach or confusion.All parties agreed to resolve all issues at once," according to alderman Boudewijn Revis in a message from the municipality.

Through arbitration, it was agreed that the municipality of Candanz pays 11 million euros. In addition, both parties charge a fee on the project. In fact, the requirement was that the project would not cost more than $ 177 million, but the municipality is now pulling the wallet. Revis: "Because of this package with all parties, everyone knows where they are, the quality of use increases and the municipality prevents us from entering legal trenches for years."

21 additional adjustments

In addition, it was agreed to make 21 design changes. Therefore, 20 million are reserved for this. Examples include the adaptation of the entrance hall, the relocation of the entrance to the bike cellar, the improvement of several groups of toilets, the widening of the different entrances and the the addition of sliding walls in one of the homes

However, it is no longer possible to achieve a widely supported wish, a mobile floor, in the concert hall. The most important reason for this is that construction has already progressed too far, says the municipality. The inclusion of a mobile floor would mean that already deposited columns should be demolished, with additional delay and cost increases as a result.

Due to delays and new adjustments, the building will not be completed in June 2020, but will not be delivered until early 2021.
