The outage started at 9:16 pm Dutch cloud service Google Cloud. This concerns a problem with load balancers that gives a 502 error. At 21:53, Google issued an update stating that the issues should be largely resolved. The company says it has a complete solution in the "near future". Nothing is still known about the cause of the malfunction.

Several services using Google Cloud have been affected and are therefore temporarily or temporarily unavailable on Tuesday nights. On Twitter, Spotify, Snapchat, Discord and Social Blade users, for example, complain that services do not work. Various games were also affected by the failure. The Pokémon Go and Ingress players have problems with the connection and the servers of the Rocket League are also affected by the failure.

Update 22:24: Google reports that the failure for all users of Google Cloud service is repaired at 22:05 Dutch time. This means that the failure lasted for about fifty minutes. Google will conduct an internal investigation and says to implement improvements to avoid repetition.
