Djokovic continues his winning streak at the Masters Tournament Paris Now

Novak Djokovic has qualified for the third round of the Masters tournament in Paris on Tuesday night. The world number two beat Portuguese Joao Sousa 7-5 and 6-1.

With the victory over Sousa, world number 48, Djokovic continues his victorious streak. The Serb, who got a pass in the first round, scored his nineteenth consecutive victory.

In his next match, Djokovic, 31, will face Damir Dzumhur. The Bosnian surprisingly beat Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in the second round

Djokovic won the Masters tournament in Shanghai earlier this month in China, where he was playing his first tournament since the victory at the US Open. For his success in New York, Djokovic also won the Masters tournament in Cincinnati

Djokovic can take first place in the world ranking

Djokovic, 31, can also take the first place in the world ranking of Rafael Nadal in Paris but he has to do better than the Spaniard. If they lose in the same round, Nadal remains the number 1.

Djokovic won the tournament in Paris four times. His last final victory was in 2015. In 2009, 2013 and 2014, the Grand Slam winner 14 times also won the longest match in the French capital.
