Elon Musk wants to save footballers, send technicians to Thailand

Elon Musk sends engineers from SpaceX and The Boring Company to Thailand to see if they can help save football players trapped in a cave complex.

Earlier this week, Musk said in a tweet: would like to help if there is a way to do it. Now, the Tesla-ceo thinks its technicians can help with Tesla Powerwalls, big batteries that could pump water faster out of the cave, writes Engadget.

Musk also expects his companies to help establish the exact location of the football team and his coach . Musk also proposed to build a nylon tunnel in the cave complex and fill it with air. The football players could then go out through this tunnel

Realizable proposals?

SpaceX and The Boring Company employees arrive in Thailand on Saturday. They will then have to decide on the feasibility of Musk's proposals.

Thai football players have disappeared since 23 June and were found alive by the Thai navy at the non-cavernous Tham Luang Nang complex earlier this week. They are about 4 kilometers from the entrance to the cave.

Cave full of water

It's not easy to get the boys out because a large part of the cave is now full of water. Most football players can not swim and in some places the passages are very narrow. Initially, the Thai authorities thought that boys could stay in the cave for a few months without risk to health. As long as the water would have dropped enough to go out

Meanwhile, the authorities are convinced that the children must be evacuated much more quickly from the cave complex, because the oxygen content in the cave falls faster provided that. A 37-year-old diver was killed in the rescue operation. He became unconscious when he placed oxygen tanks along a possible escape route.
