Epic Games Extracts The Infinity Blade Trilogy From The App Store – Games – News

Epic Games took over the Infinity Blade games from the App Store. Options for in-app purchases have also been removed. Current players still have access to their account and can continue to play.

Epic Games does not give a very clear reason to remove the trilogy from the App Store, but the main reason seems to be a lack of time or money. The developer says that he works with the RPG Spyjinx and "other projects", which "makes it increasingly difficult to support the Infinity Blade Series to a level that meets our standards." Players with an Infinity Blade account can download the games back to their devices via their Apple ID.

Epic promises that Infinity Blade III will be updated in January with the appearance of "Clash Mobs and other surprises". In addition, the developer says that Infinity Blade "will appear in unexpected places".

This last remark undoubtedly bears on the fact that Epic Games refers to its own game store, which the company opened on December 7. This online store is a competitor of Steam; Epic Games will sell its own games and those of third parties. It is not known if the Infinity Blade games are sold in this store and if the disappearance of the App Store series has nothing to do with it.
