EU calls on Tanzania to report on anti-gay campaign | Now

The European Union has called the Tanzanian ambassador to Brussels. The reason is the anti-gay campaign announced last week by the Dar es Salaam regional commissioner.

The EU is worried about the violation of human rights in the country, where marriages between homosexuals are prohibited

between the EU and Tanzania.

Paul Makonda, regional commissioner for the city city of Dar es Salaam, announced the creation last week of a controversial team. This had to go in search of homosexuals, prostitutes and cybercriminals.

Makonda stated that he already had a list of names of alleged homosexuals.
