Samsung unveils its exclusive phone, the W2019, at a launch event in China. The rocker contains all the specifications that you expect from a flagship model, but also has some disadvantages.
Flipphone
The high-end flipphone range has been around for quite some time and the phones come with very good specs, high quality and – how that seems contradictory – innovation. It has already happened that a new feature will appear for the first time on an exclusive W Series device and then only on a flagship smartphone as we know it. For example, the Galaxy S9's dual-aperture camera and Note 9 were launched for the first time on the W2018.
In this regard, the W2019 is offered for many with a disappointing future outlook. The flipchart is Samsung's second device (the W2018 was the first) without a 3.5mm headphone jack. We have already seen this trend with other brands, such as Apple and OnePlus, but Samsung has not participated in W2018 here. It is of course uncertain that the 3.5mm headphone jack is also removed from conventional Samsung cameras, but we now have reason to hope.
