Bethesda announced today that the beta of Fallout 76 will begin in October. The publisher also gave a handful of details about the next "Break It Early Test Application", including an explanation on how to access the beta.
Beta for Fallout 76
Players pre-order for Fallout 76 on Bol.com, Coolblue, MediaMarkt or Wehkamp will be the first to have access to the beta in October. Unfortunately, it seems that not everyone can start the game at the same time, because Bethesda indicates that he will select the first participants from October. "We will start small and over time, we will expand the program if we start preparing for the launch," according to the publisher.
This news has been highlighted via a community message, but on the Fallout-76website there is more information available. The beta will debut on the Xbox One before users from other systems (PlayStation 4 and PC) can start the game. Fallout 76 has not yet received a product page in Steam, suggesting that the game will be offered exclusively via Bethesda's own platform at the time of the release. On CDkeys.com, the PC version Fallout 76 is now available for only 34 €.
You automatically have access to the beta when you have purchased Fallout 76 digitally, while Dutch stores send you a code when you choose a physical copy. For Bethesda, there will be little time to solve all the potential problems of the release, because the game will be released on November 14 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
