Feyenoord played spectacularly Saturday night against Phillip Cocu's Fenerbahce. In Istanbul, the meeting between the two teams ended in 3-3. Striking: the three Turkish goals have all fallen in the first eighteen minutes. Steven Berghuis (twice) and Jens Toornstra made a comeback in the final minutes.

Without coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst – he was missing because of family circumstances – Feyenoord really began dramatically in the game of exposure in the stadium Şükrü Saracoğlu. In the seventh minute, it went to 1-0: after a shot initially driven by goalkeeper Justin Bijlow, Eljif Elmas shot the rebound from a distance.

It became much worse after. Left-handed Tyrell Malacia committed a foul and the penalty that followed was taken by Giuliano. A few minutes later, it was 3-0: the little Mathie Valbuena was heading inland. After half an hour, Eric Botteghin caused the second penalty of the evening. Bijlow prevented the fourth goal of Fenerbahçe.

In the absolute final phase of the game, the game has rocked completely. Berghuis scored for the tying goal in the 87th minute, shortly after Toornstra and in the 95th minute, Feyenoord was given a penalty. Berghuis kept a cool head and shot in the equalizer.

Feyenoord will play a training match against Levante next Sunday. Six days later, on August 4th, the duel of Johan Cruijff Schaal is on the program. PSV is the opponent.

Align Feyenoord: Bijlow, St Just, Botteghin, Van der Heijden, Malacia, Wehrmann, Toornstra, Vilhena, Berghuis, Van Persie and Larsson
