According to Trouw, it is the Essure pen, which was removed from the market last year. In the Netherlands, 2,261 women reportedly had their implants removed because of serious disorders such as extreme fatigue, nausea and pain in the abdomen, hip and knee.

The four women were implanted in their fallopian tubes several years ago. Then they received a series of health problems. In two of the women, except the Essures, their fallopian tubes were also removed.

Women complain that the manufacturer and their hospitals put on the market a product that has not been studied enough and has serious side effects.
