France won the 2018 World Cup Sunday night Sunday by imposing a two point lead over Croatia. For a long time, it did not seem like the French could easily pull the game to themselves, but after a rest, it turned out to be different. France completely fired the match in six minutes and that did not go beyond Croatia.
FT | France – Croatia (4-2)
In the first phase of the competition, it was the Croatians who took the initiative. However, the danger is not real and the game remains open. After about 20 minutes it is France who took the lead. After a free kick from the French, it is Mario Mandzukic who led the ball behind his own goalkeeper. However, he could only enjoy his head for ten minutes, as Croatia would not let him down. Ivan Perisic received the ball after an attack, shot on the left and hit hard via a defender: 1-1.
After almost forty minutes of play, a controversial moment has taken place. Perisic would have made hands after a corner and a header from France. There was a long discussion and the referee decided to judge him himself on the screen along the field. Even then, there remained a long dark existence, but in the end, a penalty was given. Antoine Griezmann went behind the ball and managed a shot.
After a break, France has proved extremely effective. At first, it was Paul Pogba, after an hour of football game, which cleverly foiled a goalkeeper who was on the wrong track. Six minutes later, the French started the game in the final. Wonderful child Kylian Mbappé took the ball to his feet from a distance and did not doubt. With a low shot, he surprised Subasic and was 4-1. The tension seemed out of the game, but after 69 minutes he came back a little. Hugo Lloris tried to play Mandzukic, but the striker dropped his foot. Lloris's ball touched and landed in the French goal.
In the last part of the match, it was obvious that Croatia were going to get the goalkeeper, in order to put pressure on the French. Refined football coming to the odds, however, did not work. Over time, he became more hasty with the Croats. Ivan Rakitic tried it more than once, but these attempts were unsuccessful. No more was scored and France was allowed to call the world champion of 2018.
